Grand Hyatt?

Our agent has recommended this hotel for a pre-cruise, We want to be downtown and central. Is this a good choice or any other recommendations?

Yes, it's very nice and a fantastic location. You can walk all over from there (market, dining, shipping). I also like The Fairmont.

Agreed that it's a good suggestion. I stayed at the Red Lion on 5th for a couple nights last week and would say it's also convenient for your purposes. Grand Hyatt is nicer, though.

We stayed there a few years ago and it was extremely nice. As mentioned, great location. Rooms were spacious and very well appointed. Highly recommended.

As an aside, when we arrived we were pretty exhausted so decided to get room service. We travel frequently and this is the only time we've ever had room service served in courses, so everything arrived fresh and at the appropriate temperature - was very enjoyable and classy.

I think Grand Hyatt is a solid choice. It's a very good hotel.

If you want to look at some other places I think Fairmont Olympic, the new Four Seasons, Mayflower Park, Hotel Andra, and Inn at the Market are all also nice hotels in various price points.
