Grand Canyon rafting help

I'm planning a trip to LV to see the Cirque du Soleil show 'Love' for my husband's 60th birthday. He's a huge Beatles fan and has been wanting to see this show for some time. We're not really fans of LV -- not into gambling etc. so thought we would spend the majority of our time in Sedona and Grand Canyon. We've been to the GC a couple of times and never tire of it. We'd like to do a one-day rafting tour, but the shortest ones I've been able to find are 3 days which is too long. Does anyone know of any shorter than 3 days?

Also this will be our first time to Sedona so any tips or 'must see or dos' would be greatly appreciated.

You probably have to go upriver from the GC to Page, AZ where there are one day rafting trips available just below Glen Canyon Dam. Here is one of the outfitters but there are others:

In addition to the flat-water trips out of Page that Otis links to there are several one-day (or better, one day, one night) trips in the lower canyon that are more easily accessible from Vegas.

Some begin with a flight to Bar 10 Ranch and a helicopter ride down to the river at Whitmore Wash, others are run by the Hualapai Indian tribe and start at Diamond Creek. These hit a few of the smaller rapids near the end of the canyon.

Here are sample links:

I would recommend at least an overnight trip for a more relaxing GC experience, maybe something from Bar 10 Ranch, but you can do it in a day.

We did the exact tour that Bill_H refers to(a 3 day/2 night). It was great and if anything not long enough. You will not be sorry for a 3 day trip or even longer. Truly amazing to spend a night under the stars on the banks of the river in the middle of the GC.

My family and I did the 1/2 day trip out of Page just below Glen Canyon. Very nice trip, very easy going and enjoyable. Pretty far for you to drive from LV though. We also saw LOVE in LV. Absolutely fantastic - especially for Beatles lovers.
