Grand Canyon Lodging
We were only able to book one night at the Yavapai Lodge in the section that is not air conditioned. My husband is concerned about not having a/c the first week in June. What are some other good options? We plan to spend two nights in there before going up to Vegas for a night.
Thanks |
It does cool down at night, so maybe you can get away with no a/c if you open the windows and get some cross venilation...you'll be out touring during the day and it will be hot then.

We stayed at the Yavapai last June, late in the month, and it was perfectly comfortable. Chilly at night!

I second gigib. We were there in mid-June, and although they were stuffy during the day (when we were off doing other things) they cooled off nicely at night.

I loved Yavapai Lodge and its setting under the pines, next to the "vilage" where you find groceries, gifts, cafeteria, etc. You won't need ac at night. Please don't worry. It's much better to stay in the Park (eg Yavapai or the other Park lodgings) than outside in the nearby towns. You get more of a "feel" of GC.
