try referring to a AAA guide or call one of their travel offices. They're on the web also. try: www.aaa.com
Good luck
If you go to lvol.com and do a search on Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam/Lake Mead, you will get lots of info and links to several sites that list tour options/descriptions and even prices.

I believe one company was called Grand Canyon Tours actually, they had a very nice website too. The helicopter flights are pricey. There are dinner cruises offered on Lake Mead that sound kind of nice...we are looking into that.

I have traveled this route via convertible rental car several times and it is a great ride to the canyon, but a long one to do in a day. If you're not from the west there is nothing like seeing the wide open spaces and vast differences in the desert after leaving LV. Hoover Dam is fine as a 1/2 day, but I urge you to give yourself more than a day if possible to go the canyon and back.

If you decide to drive in this area, I highly recommend ZION Ntl Park...I love the Grand Canyon and everyone should see it, but Zion is absolutely spectacular!

Hoover in half a day is not a problem. However, it's best to get there approximately 30 minutes prior to the first tour (pretty cool!) and you should get on the first tour.
