Doesn't matter a bit which company you use. All are equally dangerous.

... and equally noisy.

I was with a tour company in the Grand Canyon (south rim) in Nov and some in the group took a helicopter ride along the rim. From what I heard the ride skimmed along the the top of the Canyon giving a view not that much different to walking along the rim yourself. Not sure of the name of the company but am glad I bypassed the opportunity. It may be wise to investigate altitudes above the canyon of the plane or helicopter flights you are thinking about, as those I toured with were certainly dissapointed.

try Airstar.com---took the helicopter trip and loved it...went down into the canyon the way a plane can`t---didn`t land in the canyon...the middle or most $$ trip is the best---like your living room---type in the search part of fodors for info--like grand canyon helicopter or sightseeing

jr, I'm begging you - please don't take a helicopter or plane ride over the Grand Canyon! It is incredibly intrusive to everyone who is in the confines of the canyon itself, it scares away the wildlife, and ruins the experience for anyone on the ground. Sure its a great view, but any overlook will give you fantastic scenery, particularly near dawn and dusk.
