Grand Canyon Bus Tour?
Hi there! I was curious to know if anyone has used Look Tours for a bus tour of Hoover Dam & the Grand Canyon. I have never done a bus tour so I am hoping I could get some input on this company. Thanks in advance for any help!

I've never done a bus tour BUT BE AWARE, that many of these one day bus tours don't go to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, but they take you on Indian Reservation to the East Rim. I've never been to the east rim either, but I've seen pictures and it just doesn't look as grand...IMHO.

According to their site, they go to the West rim. As for sites, as far as I have seen....there's isn't really a bad view there.

Calling Utahtea, I too have the same question. However, if they say they go to the south rim is that good enough or should they say any certain region of the south rim?
thanks Ken |
Went on their air and bus tour of the South Rim two weeks ago. Will tell you I was not happy with the tour -- lots of snafus, including an old bus without air from GC airport to the South Rim. Sadly, very little time at the south rim, with only two brief stops -- plus a very sketchy tour narration. It's possible that this was an unfortunate exception, but wanted to give my impression and perhaps a heads up.

ACK!!! Color me RED! I meant West Rim...not East Rim. #-o
There is only one South Rim that I know of, if you are in doubt, just ask if they go to the Grand Canyon village at the South Rim. Utahtea |
Even though, I seriously doubt that there's a bad view, what would your opinion be....the south rim or west rim?

If it's your first time, I'd go for the South Rim. There might not be a "bad" view, but there are definitely more "grandeur" views and IMHO they are at the South Rim.

We decided to do the tour that does the South rim. I actually decided to go with another tour company grandcanyontours.com .
Thanks again for the input. |
