Hi,
I stayed at the Gorham hotel 4 times, most recently 2 years ago. It is a small but very nice hotel with a good upstairs breakfast room which serves a small buffet for hotel guests. I is a short walk to subway and near some very good restaurants on the West Side of the city. Rooms are nicely decorated and have very nice bathrooms.

Has a good reputation. Good location - W. 55th between 6th and 7th Avenues. Four blocks to Central Park. 1 1/2 blocks to 5th Avenue. A less than 15 minute walk to the theater district. Area is always crowded with pedestrians and plenty of restaurants in the immediate area. A NY institution, the Carnegie Deli is just down the block - near the corner of 55th and 7th Avenue.

We stayed at the Gorham last Memorial Day weekend. We were able to get a fabulous rate, $240 per night for a suite, and enjoyed our stay. The service and location were great. It is a small hotel, very clean, not a great deal of amenities but was a great bang for your buck. Morgan's is another small hotel we have stayed at and enjoyed. They sometimes have nice specials as well.
