Gorham Hotel, Park Central or Helmsley Windsor in NYC??

On the dates that I plan to be in NYC, these three hotels are offering very good rates and are pretty much the same. In terms of the hotel, amenities, rooms etc... which of the three would you recommend? Thank you.

Everyone on this forum seems to love the Gorham (you can do a text search). The Park Central has also gotten good reviews here. Not familiar with the H Windsor. Have you looked these up on tripadvisor.com?

Yes I have. All of these 3 seem to have mostly good reviews, with some negative ones.... Thanks....

I have stayed at the Gorham--the rooms are super tiny-- the staff is nice- the hotel is on a side street ( about a block from the Hilton on 6th Ave) and it is SUPER HARD to get at taxi at this hotel...since it is a side streets, cabs are normally full when they fly by...I decided due to the hard access to cabs and the super tiny rooms, that there were better places to stay in NY

I just came back from over a week at the Gorham. We were pleased. This is by no means a super-luxury hotel, but is perfectly nice and a great value and I would definitely stay there again. I thought our particular room was actually quite large for a Manhattan hotel room, especially for the money. Maybe my expectations were low though, making me pleasantly surprised. I sure have stayed in some closets at other Manhattan hotels over the years. We were in the largest and most expensive of the room types which is the suite with two queen beds and a very small separate living room. Most New York hotels give you two doubles instead of two queens and we sure appreciated the larger beds as four people were sharing the room. We didn't have any problems hailing taxis at the hotel. The bellman can be persuaded to blow his whistle if needed but usually we did fine on our own.
