Good whale watch tour off Cape Cod & good place to stay
My husband and I will be staying in Cape Cod October 1, 2 & 3 and are looking for a great place to stay and a great whale watching tour company. Any suggestions?

Since the best whale breeding grounds are off the tip of the Cape, Provincetown offers the best whale watching cruises. However, just about every town has whale watching cruises, they just take longer to get to the tip. As for nice areas to stay, in October you can have your pick. Provincetown is funky and cute, but not for everyone. Other nice towns include Chatham, Wellfleet, and Eastham.

Agree with the Dolphin Fleet Whalewatch. We have done it two times and both times it was excellent (I was 7 1/2 month pregnant in hot August weather the first time and remember it very well!).
I would stay in the Outer Cape area, anywhere from Chatham to P'Town (prefer Chatham and Wellfleet). Brewster is also a nice town with some beautiful B&Bs, on the bay side instead of the ocean side.

The whale watch operators in PTown all do a fine job. With the weaather turning cool, schedules may be limited. Call first. If you are spending just a few days, you may want to stay in PTown and avoid driving all over the Cape.....it is a big place.... Try provincetown.com for info.....lots of fine B&Bs..... 18078 house is nice
