Actually, you were sort of right the first time - it's on the edge of Nob Hill (and definitely not on Russian Hill)!
|
oops-sorry you are right, I was confusing it with another place I like and had shuffled my notes
|
I am taking notes. Thank you for the advice!

There are several restaurants right "on" Nob Hill:
Nob Hill Grille (American) on Hyde Aurea (California) in the Stanford Court Hotel For a real splurge, there's the Big Four Restaurant in the Huntington Hotel - a piece out of California history and superb service and food Since you are so close to Chinatown, try dim sum at the New Asia on Pacific. This is an authentic Cantonese dim sum restaurant. Huge space, carts being wheeled around. Ask for "Kok Fa" tea (chrysanthemum flower tea) or "Kok Bo" tea, which is caffeinated but has chrysanthemum flowers added). They also have a lobster mien ("Lon ha e-mien") for something like $17 with one whole lobster (chopped up) topped on a dish of noodles. Arrive prior to 11:30am or even 11am. This is one busy place. Placename: Good job! :) |
Thank you for the suggestions, easytraveler! We have never tried dim sum and I was hoping to find a good place to try some!
Nob Hill Grille is just around the corner from the apartment we are staying in, so we will definitely try this place! The menu looks good! Thanks again! Laurie |
