Good vacation spot for teens??

Will have about 5 families together for spring break and want to go somewhere that would be fun for adults as well as teens -would the bahamas be good?? Any other suggestions

Although I'm personally not a fan of all inclusive resorts, if I had a bunch of perpetually hungry adolescents, I'd look into the Mayan Riviera, probably somewhere close to Playa del Carmen. Lots of resorts to choose from. Beautiful beaches, decent shopping. Fun area.

Just remember that Spring Break in some places can be quite wild. Trying to keep tabs on teens might be a challenge.

Where would you be coming from? What is your budget? Any special interests that might suit everyone?

What about a cruise? Lots of independent teen programs/clubs. I don't think they are necessarily well chaperoned, but if you can trust your child not to do anything too crazy, at least they can't go too far astray!

thought about a cruise but would like to go a little cheaper. Coming from the east coast so Florida, Bahamas, etc?????

I think the Bahamas can easily be as expensive as a cruise, which is at least generally AI. Why not the Orlando area? Universal's Islands of Adventure is loaded with thrill rides, and then there's the Disney waterparks and Disney Quest video "arcade." Although admissions are pricey to parks, you can control costs through hotel choices.

We love Ft Myers beach for spring break... the action by the pier is enough for the teens and the adults can side trip to Sanibel/Captiva (hopefully back on its feet). Pick a place on the beach like Best Western and the kids can walk or trolley(free) anywhere along the island... check leeislandcoast.com

It will give everyone a feel for spring break without too much craziness.

I would discourage the bahamas for cost reasons and out of resort limitations (no malls, rainy day activities) unless you're in an all-inclusive and they don't want to wander...
