Good SF Happy Hours

Going to SF in 2 weeks and even though I lived there more years ago than I care to remember, this time I'm going back as a visitor with DD who is checking out law schools and DF who is going through a divorce after a 29 year marriage. So, I'd like to know--where are the good happy hours?

(We're going to need them :D)

Thanks to all in advance.

One other question for DF--where is a good neighborhood for a gorgeous 50+ divorce to live?

I am a big fan of Lefty O'Douls across from the St. Francis Hotel in Union Square..I don't know if it has a happy hour but drinks are cheap and the piano bar and the place itself is a hoot..

If your DF is a gorgeous 50+ divorcee, I know one neighborhood that wouldn't be good for her ..... my neighborhood :-))

Seriously, Noe Valley is a great neighborhood, lots of single woman, good shopping, transportation, views of SF, cultural activities etc.. If she has a dog, she will fit right in.

Enjoy your stay. Sorry I can't help with Happy Hour, I pass out long before then, JUST KIDDING.

Two neighborhoods that I can think of are Nob Hill and Pacific Heights--as well as p arts of the Marina. There is a fairly good correlation between affluence and age here.

Thanks for the responses so far. Maybe I should do a seperate post for the neighborhood part?
