Good seafood in Boston -- not expensive though

I'm looking for a good seafood restaurant in the Boston area. Atmosphere is not a MUST, but would be nice. Just looking for good food -- not pricey!

I enjoyed Legal Seafood and No Name Seafood. There are several Legals but the only No Name is near downtown on the water (we walked but it is a long one).

Hi there,
Legal Seafoods has great seafood, but it is a little on the expensive side. For example, a plate of scallops will run you about $20.00. I haven't been in a while, but dinners run in the upper teens and lower 20's. No Name restaraunt is a great suggestion. The waitstaff is great and the food is good. I think a plate of boiled seafood will run you about $20. This is a no frills place though-AND they only accept cash.
Go to www.sidewalk.boston.com, go under restaraunt section and look through there. A lot of the restaraunts have their menus posted. Have fun!!

No Name is defnitely the place for good, fresh, and inexpensive seafood. But atmosphere.... well the atmosphere is, shall we say, rustic. You sit at long tables, in folding chairs. Its BYOB and they'll open your wine and pour it in a plastic cup. Its a fun place, espcially with a crowd of friends.

Legals is also excellent, but Betsy is right its a little pricey. Entrees run in the $20 range. The ambiance is a little nicer too.

By far my favorite restaurant for seafood is the East Coast Grill in Cambridge. The cooking will be a little more adventuresome, so its not the place to go for a boiled lobster. but they have a white-pepper crusted tuna that is to die for!

Here's another vote for the East Coast Grille...everything is great!
The Barking Crab is another 'rustic atmosphere' place (a big tent, you sit at picnic tables). It isn't exactly cheap, but the menu has a wide range of prices. They serve 4 or 5 varieties of crab every night. (good thing I proofread this post, I almost typed '4 or 5 varieties of CRAP'!).

It is located on the Fort Point Channel, at the edge of South Boston, just accross the water from South Station, near the Children's/computermuseum, Tea Party Ship, etc.
