Good Restaurants near Newark Airport?

We have a 3 hour layover at Newark Airport and would love to go for paella if there is a Spanish/Cuban restaurant a close taxi ride from the airport. Any suggestions? If we can't get paella, our 2nd choice is a good Italian restaurant nearby. Thanks!

Don;t know what kind of flight you're on - but in 3 hours you really don;t have time to leave the airport.

Given extended security lines and the possibility of your plane landing late, changing terminals etc - you may be lucky to have time for a meal in the airport.

There are great Portugese/Spanish restaurants in Newark on Ferry Street -walking distance from Newark Penn Station - a short train ride from the airport, but I agree with nytraveler, 3 hours total doesn't seem like enough time to leave the airport.

You might want to try going to Jersey Gardens. If you go to http://www.trip-information.com there are details about its location and also details on how to get there.

Newark has some of the best restaurants in NJ.

In the area, Adega Grill as jtp mentioned, Sebras Rodizio (McArtur Highway) which is Brazilian Rodizio style (for the meat lovers) and Don Pepe if you like good Portuguese Seafood.
