good restaurant near Nawiliwili port, Kauai
I've seen many restaurants listed near Poipu but was hoping for a dinner place that was a bit closer to Nawiliwili port, since we will have dropped off a car earlier. On the map, saw some BBQ places listed nearby, and we may end up doing something super casual, but still wanted some ideas for nicer seafood restaurants maybe no more than 15 or so min. by Uber or cab from the port. Suggestions? Thanks.

Was just in Kauai and the cruise ship was in and Duke's is in walking distance.
There is an ABC store for souvenirs.
We had breakfast before our flight in the parking lot, that was very popular.
Kali paki beach hut.
Excellent food.
Marriott resort's are on the other side of Duke's, if you want to check that out.
Aloha

Yeahhhhhh baby!!!
Mahalo, doc.
Taxis were expensive...if you were lucky to get one!
We used them 2x just to go from the airport to the Islander on the Beach when we couldn't get a decent rental car price the first few days over in Dec/Jan. 5 miles and about $30-$0 is I recall correctly.
I'm thinking Uber drivers might be more motivated and maybe make the taxis a bit more available?
We like Mariachi's at The Harbor Mall. Nice views from the patio. I'm a chilihead and the cook makes some "special sauce". Hoooo babyyyy.
Kalapaki Beach Hut if you can find a seat. Good food, great people!
Not a big fan of JJ's Broiler.
Really liked our breakfast at Bamboo Grill and sushi in Anchor Harbor Mall. So filling I didn't eat the dinner on our flight home.
Depending how far you want to go from Nawiliwili, up the road is a local hangout we like called Dani's.
A little past Dani's is Hamura's and BBQ Inn. Never been to BBQ Inn but I have some friends who rave about it.

Love Hamura Saimin in Lihue but its a uber ride..10 minutes.
Their lilikoi pie is fab..
Dukes is your best bet..
There is a popular place right there next to the ABC store that has great Aloha food..plus,best souvenir shop!
Lots of people still hitch hike in Kauai..
You'll still get that wonderful Aloha spirit.
