Good Resort in Cape Cod
 

I am looking for recommendations of resorts in Cape Cod. My teenagers want to go for a few days this summer as a family vacation.
I need an outdoor pool and want to make sure the hotel is clean and updates. Any suggestions?

It could be anywhere in the Cape - no restrictions

I'm thinking of going to the Dan'l Webster Inn in Sandwich. I haven't been there yet but it looks beautiful and gets good reviews. The pool looks great and I really liked staying in Sandwich last time we went.

A lot of the places on the Cape that call themselves resorts are actually glorified motels. You will pay a premium for a true resort but there are two in the lower Cape region that offer everything you are looking for and more: Chatham Bars Inn, Wequassett Inn in Chatham/Harwich.

Yeah, I was trying to think how to put it.....Old Cape Cod is not such a resort-y type of place. It is definitely typically more seashore-basic than seashore-luxe, which is what constitutes the charm and authenticity of it for most visitors. You got 2 good recommendations for a true "resort" type of spot, but as yellowbyrd says, many places that use the term resort do not mean it the way you might think.....:)

That is one of those glorified hotel/motel calling itself a resort. It is situated right on Rt.28 on the busy Yarmouth, Hyannis stretch. The beach they talk about is not condusive to swimming, it's a marsh.

It might be a perfectly fine hotel, but when I hear resort I think of large spaces for lounging, on the beach or golf course large pool etc....

We have stayed at Ocean Edge resort in Brewster..
It has all the bells and whistles that you might be looking for..

Chatham Bars Inn and Wequassett Inn are exquisite resorts too!

Chatham Bars is a beautiful resort, but it's very, very expensive,and some of the cheaper rooms in the main hotel are small and not nearly as nice as others( the cottages close to the water are absolutely amazing!) on the property. HOWEVER... the resort has a lovely outdoor pool, wonderful beach, golf course on site, fitness center, and is only about a ten minute walk from Chatham Center.
