Good price for NYC hotel if you plan now
I got an e-mail from the Belvedere Hotel, where I have stayed before, with a 25% discount on rooms throughout 2017 if booked before January 1. This is in a great location for the theater. So I am going for three nights midweek in January with my husband and paying $105 plus tax per night for an executive king room (these are the renovated rooms, which are nicer than the older rooms) including full breakfast and complimentary wifi.
Rates for other times of year are higher but still might be a savings and can be canceled up to a day before the arrival date. I have reserved rooms for a weekend in April with a group of friends, and while it is not the rock bottom rate I am getting in January, it is probably still going to work out to be our best option.
Maybe someone here will find that this works out well for them.

The renovated rooms are DEFINITELY "nicer" than the "old" ones that is for certain in this hotel. I would advise anyone who books to make certain of what they are getting.
Thank you for this info. We will be in NYC in a few days and I noticed a lot of discounting at a lot of establishments for the period just after New Years Day.

It is my understanding that the "executive" rooms are the renovated ones, and those are the rooms included in this sale. Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of the page after the description of the sale and click "book package online". If you use the "online reservation" box that appears above the description you will not see this sale rate.
