Good places to eat.
 

We are traveling to the Key West area in August. I would like to find a good place to have a big hearty American breakfast. Any suggestions? Also, who has the best key lime pie?

Definitely eat at Blue Heaven! My favorite key lime pie is on a stick covered with chocolate at Kermits Key Lime Shoppe.

You're kidding - right? There are "hearty American breakfasts" EVERYWHERE. Not to mention Key Lime Pie.

There was a whole "key lime pie" thread a while back, with lots of favorites down in the keys. Plug in "key lime pie" in the search box and you should be able to pull up all the information.

Barbara is right about Blue Heaven...I also recommend El Siboney for authentic and delicious Cuban food at very reasonable prices...big portions, too.

hard to find but Opera has a veal osso bucco that brought tears to my eyes.
