Good pizza in Myrtle Beach?
We will be in MB soon with lots of kids staying at Kingston Plantation. Can anyone recommend good pizza in North Myrtle? I'm sure we'll order out at least one of our nights there. Thanks!

I recently returned from a week in Myrtle Beach at Kingston Plantation. Although I cannot recommend a good pizza place, the resort is very nice. The pools, health club, hot tubs are great. I think it is the nicest resort in all of Myrtle beach. Enjoy and good luck seeking a good Pizza place. I am sure they are all over. Have fun.

Thanks Lori, this is actually our 3rd trip to KP, my kids love that waterpark, and we keep recruiting more friends to join us. Last year we found a good Thai place, but found the pizza disappointing. I'm hoping for a good recommendation from a local or regular visitor!

Road Tripper,

After a year living down here (North Myrtle Beach) and eating way too much pizza, here's my report.

1. King's Pizza (located in North Myrtle, on business 17 just beyond 37th Avenue South--it's on your right if you're heading north). Usually very, very good, relatively thin crust (but not crunchy), good sauce.

2. Ultimate California Pizza (further up business 17 from King's, on the left I believe--we've only had delivery). More creative, and more expensive. If you have eaten at a Pieworks, it's like that; although my wife didn't think it was quite as good as Pieworks.

3. Duffy Street Seafood Shack (on Main Street in the Ocean Drive section of NMB). Surpisingly good pizza, given that this very casual restaurant's specialty is (big surprise) seafood.

There are tons of other places we haven't tried, e.g., Umbertos on the left as you head north on business 17 through NMB. And of course, there is Pizza Hut, Papa John's, and Domino's.

Dig in!
I'll second the vote for Ultimate California Pizza (several locations in the Myrtle Beach area) simply for the number of ingredients they offer. I was craving their Thai pizza recently and can't wait to go there in September.

Mike Honeycutt

Thanks Chuck and Mike for those great recommendations. Kings sounds like our type of pizza, we love the thin crust. As usual Chuck, you are always helpful,

Thanks, nina
