Good Pizza in Dallas

Looking for good pizza in downtown Dallas.

Can't think of a good pizza place in downtown Dallas, but Campisi's Egyptian Pizza on Mockingbird, just east of Central, is the best in town.

There are 2 good places on Main Street. They are a short walk from each other. They are across the street from Mariano's (good Tex Mex rest.) Campisi's is waaaay overrated as far as the pizza, but the atmosphere on Mockingbird location looks like a scene in the movie Goodfellas! Also, just in case you are interested, I always like to buy it by the slice on the top floor of the West End Marketplace. West End is lame, but that place has good pizza.

Campisi's overrated!?!! Any other Dallas pizza lovers want to back me up on this one?

Sorry, I agree, I think Campisi's is kind of one of those places that everybody goes because everybody goes there. (Like Joe. T. Garcia's in Fort Worth, where the food isn't that good but the atmosphere is great) The pizza at Campisis isn't bad, and I really do like the place, but mostly I think people go there for the atmosphere and the history. Actually, DFW isn't a strong pizza town. Sure you don't just want some Tex-Mex? That we do pretty well.....

There is no such thing as good pizza outside Chicago and NYC. <BR>In Dallas, you'll just have to look for the best second rate pizza.
