Good Italian Restaurants

I will be staying in DC the last weekend in May and am trying to find a really good Italian restaurant. I would prefer something very quaint, authentic, and with an intimate atmosphere...money not a factor. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ashley

in Dupont Circle is a place called Etrusco (I have seen Bill Clinton, the cast of the west wing there) it was very good. also in Dupont is Obelisk which is semi Italian influenced and excellent.

Also try http://eg.washingtonpost.com/section/restaurants/
Very detailed, trustworthy reviews, and it's comprehensive. The Washingtonian's reviews tend to be more about an all-positive, boosterish view of DC than about helpful critiques.

I agree with E -- stick to the washingtonpost.com's entertainment guide. The Washingtonian is a fluff magazine.

From personal experience, I'd say al Tiramisu and i Ricchi are wonderful, the former is more "quaint". Galileo is a "great" restaurant - excellent food, snooty service, pricey menu.
