Maybe Marilyne is not a native speaker of English -- although I admit, she'd better know how to spell Cape Cod if she wants to find it.

Marilyne: There are many hotels on Cape Cod because there are about 12 towns or more, but most will be small. Are you looking for a large hotel like a riviera resort? If so, you won't really find it. One of the oldest and most respected is the Chatham Bars Inn -- http://www.chathambarsinn.com/ -- which will come as close as any to the resort-type hotel.

We enjoyed The Inn on the Sound in Falmouth. It's quaint but not too overbearing. The breakfasts were delicious, and it's a short walk to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard.

You can also try the Palmer House Inn in Falmouth, the Captain's House Inn in Chatham (my favorite town), or the Bay Beach in Sandwich.
