Good Eats on Drive from Denver to Breckenridge?

Desperately seeking a non-chain, local restaurant on the road from Denver to Breckenridge for a luncheon pit-stop. We know Denver has some great restaurants, but would prefer to get on the road and instead stop somewhere scenic on the way up... All recommendations, or reality checks, welcome! Thanks.

Are you coming from Denver, or from the airport? Your drive to Breck should only take about 2 hours.

Georgetown is a nice little former mining town, though I haven't stopped in the town itself in years, so I can't give you the names of any restaurants.

Idaho Springs is also right on I-70 (east of Georgetown), not particularly scenic, but there's a local pizza chain called Beau-Jo's that a lot of people seem to like. It's a big deal to put honey on the ends of the pizza crust after you eat the pizze part. I don't find the pizza itself that interesting, but lots of other folks do.

Unless you're just dying of hunger, I would suggest grabbing something light at the airport that you can eat in the car (fruit, yogurt, etc.), then eating a late lunch or large snack in Breck. You'll have many more dining choices in Breck.

Absolutely stop in Georgetown and lunch/brunch at The Happy Cooker. I highly recommend it. We stopped there going to and coming from Denver last month and enjoyed the meals immensely.

Thank you both for your recommendations!
I'll pass them along to my "co-pilot" (he's the one with the stomache that won't wait 'til Breckenridge.)
