Good CD of Hawaiian Music

Well tomorrow is our 5th year "dating" anniversary and 6 months from tomorrow we will be getting married in Hawaii!!!

I thought I'd get my fiance a Hawaiian CD - anyone have a good one that I can get at a locale (Florida) music store.

I have a small collection of Hawaiian CD's. My all-time favorites are by HAPA (contemporary style). If you go to mele.com you can see a huge collection of Hawaiian CD's and can download and listen to portions of them. Auntie Maria is a frequent poster on Fodors. There is a way to e-mail her from this site and get her recommendations.

I love anything with Braddah IZ. (Israel Kamakawio'ole) I have ordered on line and have found some in our local Media Play. A good one to start with is Braddah Iz in Concert.

Another good Hawaiian CD would be any of them by Olomana. They have a few and I've found them on the mainland. They sing beautiful, original and traditional music with Hawaiian lyrics.
