Good affordable restaurant near Boston Science Museum

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out where to go for dinner this Friday night after we do the Body Worlds at the SM. We are a family with 2 sons, ages 16 and 21. Steak, seafood, Italian or Chinese are all fine choices, but we definitely don't want to have to navigate too deeply through Boston's Friday night traffic jams!
Thanks in advance!!

I might walk around the corner to Cambridgeside Galleria mall (less than 1/4 mile and there are even sidewalks) and eat there - 3 main restaurants, although all chains, are OK - California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory and Paparazzi (Italian). All 3 are choices that usually work well with teenagers.

If it were not the day after Thanksgiving, I might suggest someplace else, but traffic will be a nightmare, and even the MBTA will be crowded.

If you are driving to MOS, it is usually cheaper to park at Galleria and walk to MOS and then walk back to mall. If you do eat there, make sure restaurant validates your parking receipt - it is then only a couple of dollars to park.

Thanks Gail, I will google it for directions. If I'm facing the MOS, is the Mall to the right on the same side? I live approx. 1 hr from Boston and don't know that area really well.

If you are facing the museum it is to the right. Then take your first left so you are walking along the river. You'll hit the Galleria. There are some other non-chain restaurants in the blocks nearby.
