GOLF in Florida
Looking for suggestions for a great golf resort in the Orlando/Tampa area for the February time frame. Ideally will be an all-inclusive kind of arrangement since we don't want to think about food - just golf. Preferably an upscale resort with a beautiful course.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Lake Buena Vista at WDW.

Which hotel and do you have a website?

Any other suggestions?

We used to go the greenleaf but they went I hear they went bankrupt.

Have you heard of Innisbrook in Palm Harbor? http://www.westin-innisbrook.com/golf.cfm My husband has played there...says it's really nice. It's an easy 35 minutes from TIA and they have transportation if you need it.

Try World Golf Village, just north of St. Augustine...a golfer's dream!
|
Try the Marriott world center. It is right off Disney property but there is an onsite course and pro shop. The hotel is huge and very nice.

One of the best golf courses in Florida is about 45 minutes north of Orlando--the Mission Inn Golf Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills. It is all inclusive. Also has a golf academy.
Check their web site
www.missioninnresort.com to see if it suits your needs.
FYI, the food there is excellent.

Thanks for all of your suggestions so far!

Any more recommendations out there??

Has anyone heard of Greenleaf?

My husband was actually considering taking a job with Greenleaf as GM many moons ago (12-13 years ago). He said the property was nice though a bit remote. I never saw it.

I know they were in bankruptcy earlier this year. I'm not sure of their current status but I believe I heard recently they had been sold.

Aside from Innisbrook in the Tampa Bay area, there is Saddlebrook too--36 holes, food, beautiful spa, tennis.

Saddlebrook is a nice choice.
