Golden Lamb Hotel in Lebanon OH?

My wife and I like to take long weekends in small midwestern towns for antique shopping etc. Lebanon seems nice so we're going to try it. Has anyone stayed at the Golden Lamb. I guess it's supposed to be one of the oldest hotels in Ohio, but there is surprisingly very little info on the internet (even on their own site!) Thanks

Growing up not too far from there, going to The Golden Lamb for a special Sunday dinner was always a real treat, and I understand it still is. I still make the lamb shanks from their old recipe.
I do know people who have stayed there and find it a wonderful old inn with nice rooms. I realize this isn't very specific and wish I had more information to offer. I do know it's listed in several guides to old inns.

The Nov/Dec issue of my AAA magazine had an article on the Golden Lamb. You may find it on their web site: www.homeandawaymagazine.com.

Didn't mean to leave you in suspense--that would be Springfield.

Stayed a night there last year. Yes it's an old hotel full of character, slightly sloping creaking floors, great high bed to climb into. We enjoyed it. And a lovely lamb dinner - the restaurant was full, the service excellent. Reserve a table!

Thank you all for your helpful information. I was able to find the AAA article, very helpful. My original plan was to only stay there, but you've convinced me that a meal is a must too. Thanks again!
