going toSBC park, where's the best place to sit?

My husband has business in San Francisco this week and I'm going with him. We're flying from Boston and we're both big baseball fans. We hear SBC park is great and a lot of fun. Where should we sit? Is McCovey's cove any good?

It's all good! That park was built with Baseball fans in mind - and I really don't think there's a bad seat in the house.

The Third base side of the park is sunnier than the first base side - depending on the time of day.

If you get caught wishing you were either in the sun or out of it - you'll have no problem swapping seats - assuming it's not a sold out game and your in standard seating. This works great for day games.

Hard to go wrong.

At this late date, it will be where you can get a ticket! No kidding-Wednesday/
8/18, had only Standing Room Only seats
and Monday has tickets in the nosebleed
sections (view reserved). Of course, you can wing it and take your chances with the scalpers outside the park-or the "double-play" site at the on-line
ticket sales. I would not count on
"swapping"seats until the 6th or 7th inning.
Good Luck!

As razzle Dazzle says - don't ask WHERE you should sit, but rather IF you can get tkts. Just get tickets ASAP. Walk-ups are usually pretty iffy.

(BTW, McCovey cove is in the water - you can't sit there unless you are in a boat)

lilyrose, go on craigslist.org, click tickets, and type in keyword search SF Giants. I am pretty sure you'll find plenty of tickets available. You'll find that SBC is very nice. We are proud of our ball park.

As for seat locations, the AAA Club infield area is great. Not sure you can pick and chooose over the available listings on craiglist though.

good luck.

I'm a Giants fan and go to at least 10 games a year. We always sit on the third base side, right behind home plate in Section 121. If you want to buy tickets, go to sfgiants.com and look at the "double play" tab under tickets. That's where the season ticket holders sell their extra tickets. You buy them from the website and pick them up at SBC. Good luck!
