Going to lynn ma for honeymoon
Hi I'm getting married next month and I'm going on my honeymoon to Lynn, Ma. What kind of fun stuff is there to do there?
|
Not a damned thing.
|
Oh, you'll ifn dplenty ! As you've no doubt heard the ditty,

Lynn, Lynn
City of sin
You never come out
The way you went in.
|
This MUST be a joke- Lynn is a small city North Shore of Boston near/next to Salem, Swampscott, Nahant, Marblehead, Revere.

Not much in Lynn except a bunch of car dealerships. A couple decent, local restaurants and near the beach but other than that......
|
I've heard that Lynn is almost as nice as Lawrence except it has an ocean view. Can anyone confirm this?
|
I have to ask.

If you are going to Lynn for your honeymoon, just where do you live now?
|
Lynn has many historic sites. Including the Lydia Pinkham house. It also has Lynn woods reservation. The woods has miles & miles of hikable trails as well as views of the Boston skyline. With an explorable cave called dungeon rock. It also has one of the best municipal golf courses in New England (Gannon). Lynn beach is a wonderful place for an evening stroll. The walkways were recently renovated and it's meticulously maintained. Lynn's heritage waterfront park has great water views and views of the Boston skyline. It's not a bad place, but definately not a honeymoon destination.

I live in Bangor Me.

I love it when the trolls decide to honeymoon!

What a funny concept, actually going to Lynn, MA for a honeymoon! The city is a ghetto-burb. Too bad you're going there on your honeymoon becuase you won't be able to partake in the plethora of hookers at your immediate disposal.
|
Hey Boss
Lynn isn't a ghetto burb. there are some nice parts. It could be a great city, but the dumb-ass politicians can't get anything done. they've been trying to get the Blue line subway there for 20 years...to no avail. they have one of the highest tax rates in the state. they have one of the worst school systems. They just paid Mazareas the super from "Marblehead" almost $1million
to leave his job. Very smart folks running this city. Lynn is one of the most poorly run cities I've ever seen, but it's not a ghetto.... yet. I've lived there my whole life & I can't wait to get out !!

Suggestion- first a question- why Lynn??? There are nicer surrounding ares. The Hawthorn Inn in Salem is lovely and there are some nice B&B's in Marblehead.

Lynn is 20 miles north of Boston as and would be far more exciting (but also more $$$).

I am curious- of all the plaaces in Massacusetts- why Lynn?
