Going this weekend
 

Finally we are heading to NYC this weekend. We are traveling in from Canada, just curious if any days this weekend 8 - 11th are holidays?? Is there anything special going on in NYC, festivals etc?

No holidays - but dozens of things going on. There's always a stret fari somewhere - but IMHO - mostly a waste of time.

Suggest you go to broadwaybox.com and get discounts so you an get advance show tickets at lower prices (without wasting time here standint on a huge line).

Go to web site of New York Magazine and search events - you can do it by date and category - and you'll see hundreds listed.

We have no major Holidays in the month of August in the US. It is actually one of the few months, that doesn't.
