Have not been back in the USA since last 24 April and don't miss it at all.
That said, I can't wait to get on the (maximum) Social Security dole in December! M |
anyway me i love the USA!!!
|
Mikemo, let me get this straight.
I've read your posts on other threads and clearly, you do not like America, although I have not seen a post stating why you don't. That said, you are now posting your excitement for "maximum Social Security dole". Why exactly do you make such posts? Perhaps you should consider that this is a good example of things better left unsaid. |
Hello mlmparis,
I'm longing to visit Paris, perhaps 2007. For metropolitan vacation, New York or Chicago would be my choice. For summer beaches, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Wildwood, New Jersey or anywhere in California. For historic, visit Williamsburg, Virgina; Plymouth, Mass.; or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. |
Hello.
i would like to say thanks to all of you!!! i'm very touched with all your responses. Don't hesitate, post me others. Perhaps i'm not responding to all of them but i read all of your answers. I hope all the people who going to come visit France and Paris will love it. And for Mikemo. if you don't like America, why do you come read threads on US forum? go in an other place. |

Just out of interest, is somebody helping you with some of your replies because your level of English varies dramatically from being excellent one minute and then very basic the next, almost as if your trying to sound foreign. Geordie |
:-\ Nope Geordie.
It just depends of my mood of the day. some times i'm tired sometimes no. I'm going alone on Fodor's. But read my trip report, i've just posted a few minutes ago. I've done it just before to read your message which is not very nice. I know i don't speak english perfectly and i will probably never, i learned it at school and i've got lacks of vocabulary and grammatical things. I'm not going to take a tanslation dictionnary each time i want to say or write something... And you.... Do you speak French? I just try to do the best i can with your langage. It's not easy and i hope people understand me. That's all. |
And Geordie. For you information, i'm really French, i live in the 10th Arrondissement, in Paris Downtown, in France. I was born in the region of Bretagne, in the "département" of Morbihan in the city of Ploemeur. I grew up in a small town " Pont-Scorff ". thats' it try to find that places on google maps. You will see that they exist and that i'm really french. I would love to live in the USA one day and be American. but for the moment i have to do with my nationality. ;-)
|
"And you.... Do you speak French?"
Well said mlmparis. It amazes me how Americans (and yes, I am one) expect everyone to speak English! I was just in Mexico and people were upset because they were speaking Spanish!! |
Thanks Schmerl. Hopefully all American are not like this.
|
Geordie. Like i was telling Schmerl, i hope that you don't like to travel in a different country. There are a lot of cultures on this small planet. I hope that you will change your mind.
I hope that all Americans are not like you... |
And you.... Do you speak French?
Yes I can, pretty poorly, but I can speak German & Bahasa pretty fluently & and a little cantonese. Your reply makes it even more strange, that was excellent English yet the majority of your posts are High School English. Geordie |
Geordie... Ok i'm sorry about what i said. Go and read my trip report "TRIP REPORT" in General Interest and tell me what you think about it.
Like i told you, i try to do my best with english i learned at school. I stopped english 10 years ago. So sorry if i don't speak fluently your langage! i would love too. The most important thing is to understand what people say not to analyse the way they speak. Most of the people who read my messages understood them. I think you're the only one who said that. I give my feelings, my joys, my emotions and all the wonders about your country and the fact i loved it. You prefer to criticize my level of english. Go and see my other messages. people don't say something about my english. i know it's not perfect but i deal with it... |
Mickael, Hello from Orlando Florida, hope you enjoy your visit to my state. And Geordie, you have been the only negative post on this entire thread, that is something to be proud of! Even if it was made up (which I do not believe it is) what was the harm? Just look at all the good will that was expressed. Thanks again Mickael for starting this thread, it just shows that most Americans are good people but there is always a bad apple in every bunch.

Thanks for your support :-)

I think I'm going to use that line you just wrote as a quote, mlmparis:
"The important thing is to understand what people say, not to analyse the way they speak." Is that ok? You're wise beyond your years. If only everyone really "got" it. And one of my favorite people who is also a celebrity big time in my hometown Chicago, is with his wife and oldest son becoming a U.S. Citizen today. Ozzie Guillen, his wife and the oldest son not born in the USA- are doing it on his birthday today. He came here from Venezuela to play ball and ended up winning the World Series as a coach. Pretty good for being 42 years old, huh! And your English is better than his. Actually I can understand him perfectly, and I love his shortcuts- yours too. |
