Glacier National park
 

Need guidance on where to stay. We are going to Glacier national park for 5 days and planning to stay in Columbia falls but the sun road is closed when we do go and we want to go to east glacier as well. Do you recommend staying 2 day in West glacier and 3 days in East glacier?

What are your dates? For the east side, I would try in park accommodations first if they are open for your dates - Many Glacier, Swiftcurrent, Rising Sun. If they're not open or have no availability, the next best locations are the towns of St Mary or Babb.

I am going next week, and currently no there is none in park. I have booked for columbia falls location. I can change to split time in both, best location near east glacier i am getting is in east glacier park village, would you recommend that spot?

St Mary Village is right outside the east entrance to the Going to the Sun Rd and also closer to the Many Glacier area https://www.glacierparkcollection.co...-mary-village/ Other than that, there are some small motels in St Mary or Babb. I've stayed at the Red Eagle Motel in St Mary but it's very rustic. There's also Thronson's Motel in Babb.

Those options will be a bit more convenient than East Glacier Park Village which is about 45 minutes to the east entrance of the Going to the Sun Rd and longer to Many Glacier. East Glacier Park Village is fine if the other options don't work but wouldn't be my first choice of location to stay.
