Glacier and Yellowstone trip report and photos
Hey everyone, we just returned from Glacier National Park...we made it out just in time(right before the fires really got bad)! Luckily, most of our hiking was unaffected by the fires, the only time smoke was an issue was on our hike to Iceberg Lake. While hiking the sky turned a weird yellowish color and as the sun set it became an eerie red ball behind a curtain of smoke...kinda creepy. You can see photos on our website at http://www.naturalbornhikers.com ...just click on Iceberg Lake under Most Recent Hikes (as of 8-4-3)Our other hikes were under clear blue skies and include Gunsight Pass to Spery Chalet and up to the Glacier, Hidden Lake Overlook, Avalanche Gorge, and a portion of the Highline Trail(check out the last pic in the Highline gallery and you can see one of the fires just getting started down in the valley). Wildlife was amazing!!! On just about every hike we encountered mountain goats and bighorn sheep...got so many great shots of them I am thinking about adding a wildlife photo page to our website! After our last hike (Iceberg) and the smoke rolling in we decided to cut our Glacier trip short and head down to Yellowstone. Did some great hiking there as well...nothing long, just the boardwalks, but amazing nonetheless. I have been following the fire closely since we returned, and all of the people/wildlife affected are in our thoughts. I was glad to hear they are getting some rain. Hopefully, everyone is safe and my heart goes out to anyone affected by the fires. All of our photos and an in-depth trip report for each hike are now up on our site and can be accessed under Most Recent Hikes. Hope everyone enjoys the info and photos. Be sure to check out our LAndscapes page as well...click on PHOTOS gif on homepage. Thanks

Thanks for popping this to the top. Hope the url is working for everyone now...you should just have to copy and paste. If that doesn't work, just type Natural Born Hikers into your search engine and it should come up. Thanks everyone!
