Glacer Bay Highlights with CruiseWest
 

Has anyone done the Glacier Bay Highlights 3 or 4 night cruise with Cruise West out of Juneau? We are interested in seeing whales and other wildlife. Does anyone have experience with any other day or short trip cruises out of Juneau

I don't have any experience with Cruise West but if you want to see whales from Juneau go with Marv and Harv. They take only 6 people and are very popular so book early.

We have not done this particular cruise, but in 2002, we traveled with Cruise West along the inside passage which included one full day in Glacier Bay. It was a WONDERFUL cruise. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Cruise West knows Alaska backward and forward; their 'cruise interpretors are exceptional; and their nightly programs are excellent on providing information about what might be seen the following day. Do not take Cruise West if you want nightclub type entertainment. Their cruises are for nature lovers. I am looking for a 'cruise review' I posted when we returned. If I find it, I will post a link here.

I can't find my long ago post, but if you will go to the cruise forum and type Cruise West into the search box, you will find many comments regarding this cruiseline. Good luck...enjoy your trip.

Got Yellowstone all planned, now on to Alaska. haha. I can't help you with Juneau area. I would love to do Glacier Bay sometime.
