Girls Trip to NYC in May, any ideas
 

My best friend and I are heading to NYC to have a Sex & the City trip. We will be there opening weekend and would love to explore places and things we have not done before. We have been there several times but never in the Spring. Can you give any advice for places to go?

Also, recommend any movie theaters in NYC where they might have something going on for the opening of Sex & the City 2?

Publicity for S&C2 won't start for quite a while, so we won't know anything just yet. I'm sure there is a website for the movie and that might have more info.

As far as things to see and do, I'd suggest picking up a book so you can choose what things you WANT to see.

There are things happening all along Museum Mile and there will be new exhibits, so check all the museum websites.

There are also TONS of posts here, that you might read through and get some ideas.

You didn't mention where you are staying but I'd suggest checking The Ace which is a hip new hotel in town and close to Herald Square and easily walkable to Times Square.

Closer into the date for the movie check www.fandango.com and put in one of the New York zipcodes like 10001 (Empire State Building) so you can make sure you get tickets before you get here.

Here's my favorite thing to do: go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and wander around for a few hours and then walk down Madison Ave. peeking in all the little shops etc. My sister and I love to do this when we are in town.
