Giffords Ice Cream in Bethesda
 

When I was a kid (45 years ago) living in North Springfield, VA the biggest deal in the world was a trip to Giffords Ice Cream parlor for a Swiss Chocolate Sundae. I have just seen a post on this board that Giffords still exists in Bethesda, MD. WHERE, OH, WHERE is it???

Remember the one on Columbia Pike in Baileys X Roads? I worked at Korvettes back then and would go over for a sundae at lunchtime.

You bet I remember. I was an Annandale Atom and that was our #1 hangout!

It's right next to the Landmark Movie theater in Bethesda. It's the best ice cream in the area, but the snowball guy (in the pushcart on the corner of Woodmont av and Bethesda av is excellent too and NO Fat!:o)

cmcfong, I don't think so. I'm quite content here in the Shenandoah Valley, and have no desire to get into that traffic down there.
