Ghost towns in the Yosemite/SFO area

Yep -- note Elnap's description of Hornitos back on April 16.

there are many small villages w/ abandoned bldgs - either total ghost towns or partial all through the Sierra foothills. Hornitos is about 20 miles from Mariposa (a slow 20 miles -- approx 45 minutes)

Unless you've never seen a "ghost town," most of them are pretty disappointing--foundations and a few (if you're lucky) buildings.

Bodie is not disappointing, and neither is Columbia.
