Getty Museum
I shall by in a Long Beach in the last week of the year and I would like to wisit Getty Museum on December 31, when it will be my only free day.
I will have no car.
Do you know how far is Getty Museum from Long Beach and how much will cost a taxi to there?

Yikes, that's a long way to go in a taxi, I would think $100 each way? Maybe someone from Long Beach will have good advice, depending on where you are in Long Beach I think you can take the metro train to L.A. and then Hollywood....then grab a $25 taxi from there. Or maybe there is an airport shuttle Long Beach to LAX, then a $20 cab ride to the Getty from LAX? There is a citybus from LAX to the Getty for about $1.50 but it takes 90 minutes.

Long Beach to the Getty Center without a car is a tough trip. Using public transit, it will be a long journey.
tracy is right about the LA MTA bus between the LAX Transit Center and the Getty. There is a bus between downtown Long Beach and that bus terminal-- and that will take an hour or so, one way. The train trip to get there entails riding the Blue Line train up to the Rosa Parks station in Wilmington, then transferring to a Green Line train to the Aviation station, then grabbing a transfer bus to the Transit Center.
Will you be staying at a hotel? Talk to the concierge about tour van service up to the Getty. There must be something they can offer.

I must explain why this is such a hard request: Long Beach is not a suburb of Los Angeles-- it is a separate city, 32 miles (52 km) south of the Brentwood neighborhood of LA where the Getty Center is located. It's not a short hop.
Visitors to California tend to have no idea as to how spread-out and vast the state is. And the greater Los Angeles area is one of the most spread-out metropolitan areas in the world.

Thank you very much to all for the answers. I do not know yet the hotel name, the reservation will be done by our client from Long Beach.

Actually, the Long Beach Museum of Latin American Art is right in the East Village section of downtown LB, and specializes in modern-era Latin American art:

The LB Museum of Art is a bit east of downtown, and it's a very limited-scope facility (small collections of California classic paintings, ceramics and glasswork collections, modern design masters such as Noguchi, Nelson and the Eameses, etc.), but you'll be enjoying beautiful views of the Pacific for an hour or so, so why not?

The Aquarium of the Pacific is smaller than Scripps or Monterey or Atlanta-- and has a specific focus on aquatic life of the Pacific Ocean and the west coast of the US. I love it. Right in downtown LB, adjacent to the Marina:
