Getting from Newark airport to Laguardia

We're due to arrive at Newark airport at 6:00 a.m. and have to be at Laguardia airport to catch another plane several hours later. DH and I will have several pieces of luggage each. Any suggestions for the easiest, cheapest, and quickest way to go from Newark airport to Laguardia airport?

If you have several pieces of luggage each I don;t think train is an option - since it would involve multiple changes with stairs and long passageways to negotiate.

So - you can get one shuttle bus from Newark to Port Authority in Manhattan and then another from there to LGA. Or you could take a taxi from Port Authority to LGA.

To take two shuttle buses for 2 people it would cost about $70. To take a cab from Port Authority versus a shuttle bus might cost $5 to $10 more.

You other alternate if to call some of the car services and ask what they would charge for this trip. I imagine it would be over $100 - but have never done it so not sure. Try Carmel, Tel Aviv, Dial 7 - or one of those listed on the Newark Airport web site.

You should allow at least 3 hours for the trip using shuttle buses. With a car service 2 hours would probably be enough - if you don;t hit a ot of traffic.

You can have one but not all three. Do you want easiest, cheapest, or quickest?

Easiest would be a cab.

Cheapest would be subway/bus.

Quickest would be a car service.

Isn't there one express shuttle bus between Newark airport and LaGuardia?
(If we have to take more than one bus to get there, that would be too much with our suitcases.)
Thanks for the info!

No - there are no buses between the airports. the best you can do is two shuttles - switching at Port authority in Manhattan.

If ou don;t want that I woud get busy with the various car services to see if you can get a deal with someone - or perhaps find a coupon on-line. The Newark web sites lists many of the local car services - but realize that you're going from New Jersey to New York and the airports are on opposite sides of the city - so it may take a while.

Any chance you can fly out of Newark? I doubt there are many, if any destinations served from LGA that aren't also served from EWR.
