Getting from Homer to Glacier Bay NP

Can anyone help me figure the best way to travel between Homer and Glacier Bay?

Options, return to Anchorage, Alaska Airlines to Juneau, then charter a flight, or take the ferry with a couple days and stay at Bartlett Cove.

We would like to spend a week at the NP at Glacier Bay either before or after a bear watching trip out of Homer. Initially we were going to fly into Anchorage and drive down to Homer. Possibly a flight from Anchorage to Gustavus?

Have you chosen a bear tour out of Homer yet?

Emerald Air is who we have booked with also. I have heard nothing but great things about them. We're hoping for clear skies this time. Last year we could not go because of the weather.

Alaska Air flies from Juneau to Gustavus. It's about a half hour flight. Are you only going to Homer for a bear watching trip? Admiralty Island which is near Juneau also has bear trips. We did a large family vacation to Glacier Bay about 3 years ago. We spent a day or two in Juneau on the way back. My brother took his family on the Admiralty island bear trip. They really enjoyed it. My family did not go due to the cost. We loved Glacier Bay, stayed at Gustavus Inn.
