Getting from BWI to Annapolis

What are the options for travel from BWI to Annapolis? Obviously I know I can rent a car. Are there other options? Train? Shuttle? I'm staying at the Lowes in Annapolis and don't have any need for a rental car other than getting from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport. Thanks for your help.

First, I'd check w/Loew's -- they might run a shuttle of their own. I doubt it, but it's worth a try.

Next, try the Airport Shuttle -- it regularly stops at Loew's (which is why I doubt Loew's runs a shuttle): http://www.bwiairport.com/ground_tra...rport_shuttle/

As another option, you could take the Super Shuttle, tho' my guess is that the Airport Shuttle may cost less:

Black car service is also available:

There's no train service.

You could stand outside holding a sign "Annapolis", It must work as I see quite a few doing that lately @ BWI. I noticed on on Baltimore Fun Guide that Loews has a free BWI shuttle which may or may not be true. You sure you won't need a rental car? Unfortunately the lightrail doesn't go to Annapolis.

Thanks for your advice. I ended up renting a car for $40, it is the least expensive option I found. The airport shuttle is $88 for 2 people roundtrip BWI to Annapolis and back.

Actually, if you're willing to take public transportation, there is (or was) a bus from Patapsco or Cromwell (reachable by using Light Rail) It's the #14 MTA bus & runs 7 days/week + Holidays

You'd need to be traveling light, these are regular "city buses"

There's also a commuter bus from New Carrollton, and some from DC as well.

Probably none of these will work into your schedule or plans, but they are available. The commuter lines could work well for someone staying an Annapolis who wanted to visit DC for a day.

Hi

I live in Annapolis and, unfortunately, there isn't any public transportation available from the city up to the airport (which is less than a half hour away). It's probably wise that you rented a car as it would be a fair hike from Loew's down to the city dock area (if you decided to go sightseeing).

Hope you enjoy your time in Annapolis and post if you need any suggestions for restasurants.

Greatsights - I would love a recommendation for a good spot for an inexpensive Sunday breakfast near Lowes. Looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite on the way to the airport, not looking for a fancy brunch. Would prefer options of yogurt/cereal/granola, etc. over eggs/bacon. Any ideas? Thanks.
