Cab Into Brooklyn
I will be arriving into LGA at around 2:30 PM to go into Brooklyn by the Brooklyn Art Musuem..how much should a cab cost? Will I hit incredibly slow rush hour traffic at that time?

Here's a great website that uses google maps.
http://nyccabfare.com/
It's not that far - maybe 10miles. The BQE does get busy, but you should be there in 30min, perhaps even less, from LGA.

The following is the mapquest directions which appear correct.
http://maps.yahoo.com/;_ylc=X3oDMTEx...ooklyn%2C%20Ny
If you cannot access the site go to mapquest and enter laguardia, queens, NY
and 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, Ny
Print out the instructions and map and give to the cab driver, since not every cab driver will know the best route.

It should cost about $40 plus tip. The taxi driver will probably take the BQE to the Prospect Expressway to exit near Prospect Park and from there get to the Brooklyn Museum. Or he might follow the same route but get off at Atlantic Ave.
