Getting Away by Car?
Just bought my very first new car, and want to try it out on a little road trip. I can probably carve out three days in mid-November for this little adventure. I'll be traveling with my 30-lb dog, and though interested in trying the car's long-distance feel, don't want to spend much more than 4-5 hours behind the wheel. I love great food, and comfortable dog-friendly lodging that won't break the newly-stressed-by-car-payments budget. Ideas?

Hey Michele, what part of the country are you driving from? Also, have you road tested the dog yet? It wouldn't be very good to have a carsick dog in your new car.

This is either a troll, or she's blonde.

Excuse me bob-watch who you are calling "blonde"!
I happen to have a large dog, a German sports car and I am blonde.
So?????

I am SOOOO not blonde, and too large to be a troll though I was trawling for suggestions and acted blondly by neglecting to mention: I'm in Kingston, WA. Dog is road-tested (and IS blonde, by the way).

Try one of the dog sites:

Petswelcome.com
dogfriedly.com
