getaway in connecticut
I'm planning a late fall anniversary getaway to Connecticut with my husband, leaving our preschool son with a caregiver, but bringing our infant daughter. Any suggestions? So far, I've come up with Litchfield (The Boulders Inn) and Saybrook (The Pratt House). What else?

Okay, scratch those two places. I just looked up online - neither of those places allow infants on the property. Does anyone have any suggestions for well-appointed hotels in areas that are fun/getaway-like that *will* let me bring our infant daughter?

"leaving our preschool son with a caregiver,"
Good! "but bringing our infant daughter" Oooh, bad, very bad. There's a Motel Six on 95 that might suit! |
Will Mystic on the eastern side of CT work?? The Inn at Mystic has different types of rooms and
"<i>Our upscale main building centrally located on the property with rooms for families as well as couples. All rooms are decorated with reproductions of antiques and designer fabrics. Our family rooms have two double beds and are large and comfortable.</i> http://www.innatmystic.com/inn/publi...building.shtml Not sure what "fun" things you are interested in, but Mystic Seaport along with other things are available. That site has a page with activities in the area. I stayed in the "Gatehouse" several years ago, and it was wonderful. Flood Tide Restaurant on the grounds was very good too. Deb |
There are other "inns" in that area besides The Boulders. Google New Preston, CT and/orLake Waramaug.
