Gershwin Theatre Ticket Question

I'm looking to buy 2 tickets to Wicked at the Gershwin. I'm looking at (1) a pair through stubhub, orchestra row E, partial view; or (2) a pair through broadwaybox, orchestra row C, seats 13-15. The stubhub tickets are considerably less. Should I be wary of the partial view? Thanks for any information you can provide!

In any show that has a lot of flying and effects, you should beware of partial view seats. They're probably way on the end, and I really hate seats close to the front but far on the side.

Having said that, Row C is really close, and that doesn't excite me much either.

Hopefully someone here can make a recommendation based on personal experience, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the tickets in Row C, though they wouldn't ordinarily be my first choice.

We went to Wicked last week and I would avoid the partial view seats.

Great info. Thanks!

Without knowing the actual difference in price and the actual location of both options it's impossible to advise you. The composer/lyricist thinks the best seats are row b - L Orchestra.

There are some who feel the partial view seats at the front on the side are very good value since the face value is only about $55-65. How much were they asking?

Just over $100 apiece for partial view and around $140 apiece for the others--so $80 difference for the pair.

I would definitely go for the cheaper seats--and close to the state. The Gershwin is a big barn of a theater. I sat in the back of the orchestra once and thought I was watching a puppet show.

I saw Wicked from the back of the orchestra in Seattle and I felt like I was sitting in the bleachers for $90 a ticket.

Sit close. Watch the actors sweat.
