Gershwin - Front Mezz stage left or Ctr Orch under Mezz???
Maybe I've just been researching this too long, but I just can't decide and would love your advice. I've read many of the threads here on the Gershwin Wicked tickets. I know that we won't find discounts, and we don't want to wait in line for options the day of the show. I've been to most/all of the sites recommended in this forum.
I've decided not to go with the premium tickets at $262 a piece (March weekday evening for 4). I would rather purchase the $149 tickets. My options are front mezzanine on the left or right side middle of the row (basically overhanging orch row J-N) or center orchestra back under the mezzanine (row X or W). Any thoughts would be much appreciated!! |
Those tickets disappeared fast so I rushed and purchased 4 tickets in the loge row EE. Hope they are okay. Anyone ever sat here at the Gershwin??

It's a huge theater, but you are generally better off in the front mezzanine than way back in the orchestra for any theater.
I haven't sat in these seats, but I saw Showboat there years ago before Wicked started and was quite happy with front mezzanine. That show obviously didn't have as many special effects, but it's the only show I've ever seen in this theater, so it's all I can offer. |
There's no "loge" section listed on the official seating chart. Is that exactly what your tickets say? I'm guessing that your EE tickets are what's shown on on the chart as the sides of the front mezzanine, or are they "box" seats on the sides of the theater?

Tickets definitely say "Loge". Row EE seats 10, 12, 14 & 16. "Front mezzanine seating right of center stage seating loge row AA overhangs orchestra Row J, second level of theatre front mezazanine - right of center stage".
I'll report back! |
