Hi,
Can you please tell me the name of the B&B your Fodor friend recommended you to stay in? We are thinking of going in a couple of weeks and would like to stay at a B&B in - not expensive. Even a cute B&B a few miles from town would be ok Thanj

There are a lot of B&B's to choose from. DO stay in the historic district if you can.
I've recommended this one a lot- and everyone has enjoyed it

The Hampton Inn at Bay and Abercorn Streets is a great option with a B&B "feel".

Starrsville,
If the ElizaThompson is not available, at the bottom of website it lists the Marshall house, Gastonian, Olde Harbor Inn and East Bay Inn, should I try one of those? Do you have a preference or something totally different? Thanks

The Marshall House and Gastonian are very nice - and pricey.
The East Bay Inn - yes
Olde Harbour Inn - no, no, no, no matter what no!
Another option with a great location is the Planter's Inn. There have been reports that it's a bit "tired" - but it was my favorite before they built the Hampton.

We liked the East Bay Inn. But, this year we stayed at Staybridge Suites (right next to East Bay Inn on East Bay Street). Lower rates and everything is brand new. All rooms have full kitchens. One of the best hotel stays we've ever enjoyed.

Hi sweet P_M,
I know I am a bit late, but I just read your trip report and as always with yours, I enjoyed it greatly. DH & I will go back to Savannah one day. We will make certain to go to the Fort. Thank you.
Sorry about your Sleepless In Savannah night. Good call on the switch of hotels, I would have been sad if your stay would have been any more injured due to that.
Didn't you just love the feel of lovely ole Savannah?
I miss ya girl - and hope life has been bringing you much sunshine.
Your pal, Tiff
