Geology trips for kids

Will be in Seattle end of June. Have a 6 year old who loves rocks. Know of any tours that cater to kids? I found one group but they only go a few weekends out of the year and not the week we will be there. We will also be visiting Mt. St. Helen's and Mt. Rainier. Thinking about the Petrified Forest Park also.

The Burke Museum, on the UW campus, has some good kid-friendly geology exhibits. They occasionally run day trips too.

There are some good self-guided trips that you can take, to look at fossils and old coal mines in Bellevue, or deep-sea rock near Anacortes, or lava flow rock near Vantage (where the Gingko Petrified Forest Park is located). If interested, let me know, and I can send you directions.
