What recommendations do you have for nice bars/clubs (no leather, please) in SFO that don't charge a cover? <BR>Thank you.

There are a lot of bars in the Castro area (Castro Street/Market Street) that don't charge a cover....the nicer ones in my opinion are The Cafe on Market Street and The Bar on Castro (btwn 17th & 18th Sts.) As for clubs, there's usually a cover unless you go early and have a flyer which could be found in the Castro area stores. Club Universe is the one everyone goes to on saturday night but there's an occasional club event called Metropolis which happens about once a month....so depending on your schedule.......hope this helps :)
