Gatwick to Heathrow

Does anyone have an idea how to get between Gatwick and Heathrow airports in England. What is the cost, time it takes, etc.
Thanks,

DON'T GET A TAXI!! sorry to shout but the distances may not appear that great if you are from the US BUT you will be seriously ripped off. I believe National Express may run a coach service between these 2 airports. Trainwise you would probably need to go into London and back out again.

tidy: This really should be posted over on the Europe Forum. dmlove was trying to link you to one of many threads about this - but the link isn't for a specific thread.

The quick answer is take the coach (bus) - it is the only practical mode between the 2 airports. How long do you have for the connection?

That is what I was trying, but actually I just typed "Gatwick" in the search box and the first thing that comes up is a thread on this same subject from a week or two ago.

I see that I messed up AGAIN and didn't check to see that I was in the correct forum. Thanks for your help. I don't know how long we will have between flights because I am just now looking at options. HOw long does it take to go by coach and will we need reservations?

Is there a way to change the forum from the United States to Europe, other than just typing a new message in the Europe forum?
